Ballard Convention Center Names New Executive Director

The Ballard Convention Center is pleased to announce Natalie Cooper as its new Executive Director. A resident of Earlington, Cooper brings decades of experience in education, leadership, and community involvement to her new role.

Cooper recently retired from Madisonville Community College after 32 years of service as a professor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kentucky State University and a Master of Science in Human Services from Murray State University. Throughout her career, she has been committed to supporting students, strengthening community partnerships, and helping others succeed.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Cooper has served on several local boards, including CASA and Impact Mentoring, reflecting her strong dedication to the Hopkins County community. She is the mother of one son, Nathaniel (Hannah), and a proud grandmother of two granddaughters.

Cooper is excited to begin this new chapter at the Ballard Convention Center and looks forward to promoting the facility and all it has to offer. With a passion for community engagement and collaboration, she is eager to help the Center continue serving as a hub for events, gatherings, and opportunities that bring people together across the region.
